This picture of the pond and the one below were both taken on the same day in June 1997. The above was taken through our kitchen window (hence the black line through the photo which is actually the frame in the middle of the window). June is the anniversary of when we took the 24' round Doughboy swimming pool down which left a hole in the ground containing some water with a blue swimming pool liner. All the plants, except the pink Hydrangea behind the waterfall, are native to the USA; mostly to California and Sonoma County, even the lively pink-colored Litmus in the foreground.
