Dave Biggs took these photos on August 18, 2002, while in Mono Co. along Highway 395 near Bridgeport. We'd seen this species last year at this same place on Sept. 22, 2001. This area is named Fales Hot Springs Creek and is a feeder of Walker Creek, located about 16 miles East of Bridgeport and ~2-3 miles from where Highway 4 branches off. River Bluet (Enallagma anna) was common here.
Unfortunately the wind was blowing so it was difficult to get photos. One male was brought home and scanned.
