These are scans of a female Cherry-faced Meadowhawk caught August 29, 2003, near Orr Lake near the hamlet of Bray, which is off of Highway 97, East of Weed in Siskiyou Co, CA.

Note how much less black the side of the thorax shows compared to a Western Meadowhawk
