On July 11, 2009 in Santa Clara County, CA, Gary Suttle found a female Walker's Darner at Henry Coe State Park on Coyote Creek.
He netted her, photographed and released her. She was hawking insects along the trial/dirt road approximately 75 yards from the creek and 100 feet above it.

Images of females are very rare, and I greatly appreciate his sending this posed set of photos of her to share.
